Ireland is thinking of making the switch to right-hand driving

Last week there was a news story about a debate regarding driving going on in Ireland.
Apparently there is some debate about making the switch to right-hand driving in Ireland. This is being considered as the tourist numbers in Ireland are swelling and it seems that the vast majority of tourists have trouble driving in Ireland.
Besides Ireland, there are only a few countries that drive on the left. Most of these are British Colonies. The most notable places other than Ireland where driving is on the left is Australia and Japan.
