Will you be finding yourself visiting Paris, France soon? Well, if you are from the US and working with the horrible exchange rate, you may be looking for ways to cut costs while in Paris. And even if you are not looking for ways to cut costs while on holiday in Paris, you still might benefit from these money savings tips for any tourist in France.
- Instead of buying breakfast out in a cafe, why not pick up your breakfast at a boulangerie and enjoy it from your hotel room or even in a park if the weather is nice out.
- Look for happy hour specials on chalkboard outside of restaurants and cafes to save on a drink before dinner.
- If you want to skip an expensive beverage with your meal, ask for “une carafe d’eau” to get a pitcher of tap water.
- Skip the expensive tourist cruises down the Seine and instead walk along the Seine.
- Don’t overlook the food from cheap street vendors. Many locals eat from these and you can save money by doing so too.
- There always seem to be free concerts going on in Paris. Check out Colleen’s Paris to get info on any free concerts happening while you are in Paris.
- Paris is a walking city - if weather permits, save that train fare by walking through Paris.
