It’s Museum and Galleries Month in London

The entire month of May is Museum and Galleries Month in London. This is the biggest celebration of its kind.

Here’s an idea of what you can see in the museums in London this month:

  • Playful Pets at the Geffrye Museum ( May 3)
  • London’s Burning Gallery Tours at Museum of London (May 6)
  • Study Day: Art and Ideas 1850-1950 with art historian, Valerie Woodgate at Dulwich Picture Gallery (May 10)
  • Young People’s Course: Drawing and Painting at the Serpentine Gallery (May 10)
  • Shoptastic! at Hackney Museum (May 17)
  • Music Hall Dressing Up at Museum in Docklands (May 26)
  • The Long Weekend at Tate Modern (May 23-26 )
  • For Your Eyes Only: Art Activities at Imperial War Museum London (May 24 - Jun 1)
  • A talk on innovation and new discoveries at the Wallace Collection ( May 28)
  • A House Through Time Exhibition at Whitehall historic house museum (ends Aug 30)
