On May 25, 2008 in Regent Street in London there will be a Guinness World Record attempt to stage the largest Sevillanas dance ever. If you want to be a part of this you can! In fact, anyone can participate as long as they register online.

Here is what you need to know -

Regent Street is going to be closed to traffic on May 25th between the hours of noon and 4 PM. There will be three bands from Andalucia providing music. And there are even dance lessons with live music before the main event begins. If you do not need lessons you are welcome to practice with the beginners.

To celebrate the event, Heddon Street and Swallow Street will be offering special Spanish delicacies and al fresco dining through out the day. And once the main event is over, you can head to Heddon Street for more Andalucian music and dancing.

And if you can’t squeeze all the fun into that night, do not worry as the Spanish fun continues for a fortnight! There will be Spanish food at Heddon Street and Swallow Street restaurants and a program of live music and dance.
