July 4th in Los Angeles, CA: AmericaFest at the Rose Bowl and more!

There are several activities going on in the Los Angeles area that you can check out.

AmericaFest at the Rose Bowl takes place at The Rose Bowl Stadium, Pasadena. It offers up largest fireworks display in Southern California accompanied by a musical performance. The outside food court opens at 11 a.m.; the stadium opens at 6 p.m., the Drum and Bugle performances begin at 7 p.m., and the Fireworks at 9:00 p.m. This is not a free event. The cost is $13 General Admission, Kids 7 and under free. If you do not already have tickets it is cash only at the stadium. And parking is $15 per car.

The Palisades Americanism Parade on Sunset Blvd. in Pacific Palisades. The parade start time is at 2:00 PM, 7:00 PM for the entertainment and 9:00 PM for the fireworks. More info here.

Mr. & Mrs. Muscle Beach at Venice Beach lasts from 9 AM to 5 PM. It is free to watch. Pre-judging is at 10 AM and finals are at 1 PM.

4th of July BBQ at the Aquarium of the Pacific - enjoy an an Independence Day B-B-Q buffet and the Aquarium at night.
When: July 4, 5:00 - 10:00 pm Dinner 6 - 8 pm, Aquarium opens at 9 am
Where: Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, 320 Golden Shore, Long Beach
Cost: Aquarium Admission $20.95 Adult, $11.95 child 3-11, $17.95 seniors, Aquarium plus dinner $31.75 Adult, $27 Child. Advance reservations required for dinner.
