Wanna know what happens to all that stuff the TSA confiscates? State surplus agencies get it and sell it! So if you have lost something to the TSA at the airport or if you want to see what they are selling, here are some places to check out.

Alabama State Surplus Agency
This agency handles almost 15 airports in Florida and Alabama, including Miami, Orlando and Huntsville. They sell stuff on eBay using the ID: alstatesurplus.

Georgia State Surplus Agency
This agency serves the Atlanta airport as well as Savannah/Hilton Head airport. They actually have stores in Tucker, Swainsboro, and Americus that you can visit. Or you can check them out on the web at http://surplusproperty.doas.georgia.gov

Illinois State Surplus Agency
This agency services Chicago O’Hare, Chicago Midway and sometimes even airports in Illinois and Michigan. They auction stuff off at http://ibid.illinois.gov

Kentucky State Surplus Agency
This agency services eight airports in different states, including helping out with Miami and Orlando, as well as covering Louisville. They sell stuff on eBay under the ID: kysurplus. You can also find them on the web at http://finance.ky.gov/internal/surplus

Oregon State Surplus Agency
This agency services the Portland and Eugene airports. They sell stuff on eBay under the ID: oregontrail2000. You can also find them on the web at http://www.oregonsurplus.com

Pennsylvania State Surplus Agency
This agency services thirteen airports in different states, including JFK, Newark, Cleveland and Philadelphia. They sell stuff on eBay under the ID: pastatesurplus. You can also find them on the web at http://dgs.state.pa.us/surp_prop

Texas State Surplus Agency

Washington State Surplus Agency
