2008 Kansas City Irish Festival
The 6th Annual Kansas City Irish Festival kicked off yesterday and lasts through Sunday, August 31, 2008.
The festivities take place at Hallmark’s Crown Center Square, just South of downtown Kansas City, Missouri - at 25th and Grand.
Admission costs are:
Adults: $10 per day at the gate, $8 in advance, Children 12 & under are free! and Seniors (65 & older): $5 per day
Today and tomorrow you can check out the Irish festival from 11am to 11pm.
The 2008 entertainment line-up includes with Gaelic Storm, Damien Dempsey, the Barra MacNeils, Slide, Pogey, The Young Wolfetones and Bad Haggis. The O’Riada Academy of Irish Dance and the U2 cover band 2U are scheduled to rattle the windows at Crown Center, as well. Irish Fest also features heritage displays and workshops, shopping, ethnic food, special areas just for kids, and Catholic Mass outdoors on Sunday morning at 9:30.
