London’s Great River Race

Posted by Nick on September 12, 2008

As part of The Mayor’s Thames Festival, you will not want to miss the Great River Race. It takes place tomorrow, September 13, 2008.

The Great River Race is like a marathon only it is on the River Thames. So, basically it is a river marathon. It covers a 22-mile course from semi-rural Richmond in Surrey, past many classic London landmarks, to the striking Docklands skyline towards its finish line at Greenwich. And there are around 300 crews that take part. All levels of competitors are welcome.
