San Francisco New Year’s Eve events

Looking for info on what is going on in San Francisco for New Year’s Eve? If so, here are a few of the events you can find.
New Years Revolution
You might be a little wary of 1015–and rightfully so–but with Diplo (MIA’s producer) headlining an all-night hipster electro-rave with scores of grime, dubstep, house and hip-hop DJs you might want to reconsider (note the 9am closing time.)
An Epic Voyage
Vintage 415 and City Visions Entertainment are connecting Waterbar and Epic Roasthouse with a 7,000-sq.-ft. tent (clear, for firework watching), and the price, though steep, won’t deter scenesters who want to be at the city’s highest profile event, and plan to drink back their ticket price at the open bar.
Sea of Dreams featuring Thievery Corporation
The multi-stage underwater-themed fantasia features trip-hop and remix masters Thievery Corporation, local electronic outfit Bass Nectar, plus circus acts, face-painters and other trip-you-out attractions; outrageous costumes and behavior encouraged.
Sneakers Required featuring Mos Def
Both formal attire (tie, collared shirt, suit jacket) and sneakers are required to attend this bash, with Mos Def rocking alongside DJ’s Sake One, Apollo, Big Von and Mr. E, a Henessey and Ciroc open bar, and an endless buffet of Farmer Brown soul food and Papalote burritos.
Disco 2009 featuring Shiny Toy Guns
Popscene pair up with the Rickshaw Stop for a NYE bash including electro-new wave-glam goth sweethearts Shiny Toy Guns (Grammy-nominated for Best Dance Album!), DJ Low B of MIA fame and resident Popscene DJs.
Supperclub Reveals 2009
Spend your evening in bed with friends at this swanky (if kitschy) SoMa spot dining on seven courses, imbibing and enjoying the music and performance sets. Dress code says “reveal your inner light”–which we’re pretty sure means show up in your birthday suit, but you may want to call ahead.
An Affair to Remember
Recession? What recession? Apparently there are still enough high-rollers in San Francisco to warrant an event like this: cocktails, caviar and a “dress to impress” dress code at one of the city’s poshest overnight destinations. Tickets can be purchased to just the event, or paired with a room for the night *wink wink*.
New Years Eve Celebration ’09
Ring in the new year with more than one glass of bubbly at this champagne-driven event at Bubble Lounge; while the price looks a tad high, it includes passed appetizers, cocktails, champagne and entertainment, so make sure you get your money’s worth.
New Year’s Eve Fireworks Soiree
Enjoy front-row seats to the city’s biggest fireworks display at this fourth-floor restaurant at the Embarcadero Center; the party also includes house music by Frenchy Le Freak, a complimentary champagne toast and two dance-floors with music and entertainment.
