If you have taken loads of photos on your travels you may be looking for a good site for picture sharing. Fortunately there are some great free photo sharing websites on the web. If a little photo online sharing is what you are looking to do, here are some of the best photo sharing sites on the web today. And best of all – you can do your photo sharing online for free!
Flickr
This website works with your Yahoo ID login and is super easy to use. For the free account you are limited to 100MB in uploads per month. You can upgrade to paid Pro account if that is not enough photo sharing album space for you. Keep in mind that you won’t be able to download your images in their original resolution with the free account – so don’t erase them from your memory card!
Photobucket
This is also a super easy online photo sharing account to work with. Photobucket gives you 500MB of space with a max photo size of 1MB for its free account. You can upgrade to Pro with no limitations like this. Photobucket does make it incredibly easy to send your images to your blog and such.
Picasa
Google’s Picasa links with your Gmail or other Google account for online photo sharing. Picasa gives you 1GB of storage, with a max image size of 20MB. If you want more storage you can upgrade your account and the storage can be shared across all of your Google accounts (Gmail, Blogger, etc.) Here are the storage prices:
- 20 GB – $5/yr
- 80 GB – $20/yr
- 200 GB – $50/yr
- 400 GB – $100/yr
- 1 TB – $256/yr
- 2 TB – $512/yr
- 4 TB – $1024/yr
- 8 TB – $2048/yr
- 16 TB – $4096/yr
Webshots
This oldie starts off with allowing you to store and share 1,000 images. And each month you are a member you get an additional 100 images added to your allotment. You can even upload directly from your cell phone with Webshots. They also offer a paid premium membership where you get 5,000 images to start with and your allotment grows by 500 each month you are a member.

I just signed up with http://www.mejuba.com. Unlimited storage for both videos and pictures and it’s completly free.
No monthly limits or qoutas.
Photos and videos are stored in their original formats and sizes and are kept unmodified for backup.
I also like that you can geo-tag your stuff so it shows up on a map. And you can search for stuff on the map – that’s cool!.
As the only site i know of it uses a Windows Explorer like navigation with folders – super easy to use – even has drag and drop!.
I can highly recommend it.
On websites such as WikiAlbums.com, you don’t even have to sign up because you can add albums which they call Quick Albums (if I remember correctly) only by entering your E-mail address. They ask for your E-mail to send you two links; one to share with others and another one (only for the owner) to edit the added album later. I used to use this feature all the time, but my brother created a two groups on WikiAlbums and now my family members and I are sharing our photos and videos privately within those groups. BTW, you can make some of those private albums public. by doing this, website provides you a link that you can share your albums with others who are not WikiAlbums members. One more thing, I’m sure that there is no charge involved because I have way more than 200 albums and 10,000 pictures and videos only under my name. Just thought to share my story.
