American Airlines Adds A New Coach Seats Fee
Posted by Nick on August 23, 2010
Because airlines don’t nickel and dime consumers enough, American Airlines has announced a new fee today for some coach seats.
Called “Express Seats,” the new fee is for the coach seats in the first few rows of the cabin.
Fees start at $19 for short flights and go up to $39 for cross country flights.
You can only reserve the Express Seats at a self-serve kiosk no more than 24 hours before your flight.
Your perk that you are paying for is being able to board in the first general boarding group and being in the front of the coach section. That’s it.
