London’s Hackney Wick Festival

On September 27, artists and residents are coming together to celebrate the lives and life of Hackney Wick as part of the Hackney Wick Festival. The location for this festival is Victoria Park Village Green.

You can enjoy everything from sports events and athletics and martial arts displays to art exhibitions to open gardens and much more.

You can catch the festivities on September 27, 2008 from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Or on September 28, 2008 from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM.

London Fashion Weekend 2008

This coming weekend marks the start of London Fashion Weekend 2008. The events start on September 24th and run through September 28th.

That’s right.

This year it starts on Wednesday and goes through Sunday. There’s just too much fashion for 48 hours!

Like last week’s London Fashion Week, this weekends festivities occur at the Natural History Museum. There is a lot to do - you can pick up style and beauty tips from the experts, browse through the collections of over 150 designers, enjoy a makeover from the experts, and much more!

The 2008 Riverfront Jazz Festival in London

If you are looking for something fun to do in London, why not check out the Riverfront Jazz Festival. This year marks the 23rd year of the festival. It takes place from September 18 through September 28 at various venues across Greenwich, including the historic Trafalgar Tavern.

You can expect more than 50 performances in 20 venues. And the best part is that most of the performances are free! This is the Second biggest jazz festival in the UK. All musical jazz styles will be served up from nostalgic swing to funky rock.

The must see event of the festival is when Jools Holland’s ace saxophonist Derek Nash lead an all star line up when his acclaimed Protect the Beat band play the historic Trafalgar Tavern on September 24th at 8pm in the Trafalgar’s Nelson room overlooking the Thames.
