Art Festivals in Columbus, OH

If you’re going to be in Columbus, Ohio and looking for an art festival there are a few that happen in the summer you may want to check out. All of the art festivals below feature local and national artists as well as live entertainment from local musicians.

Columbus Arts Festival
Location: the Discovery District near the Columbus Museum of Art.
2010 dates are June 4th – 6th.

ComFest
Location: Goodale Park in the Short North
2010 dates: June 25th – 27th
Admission: Free

Delaware Arts Festival
Location: Downtown Delaware, OH (suburb of Columbus)
2010 dates: May 15th and May 16th
Admission: Free

Riverfront Art Festival
Location: Genoa Park (between COSI and the river)
2010 dates: September 18th - 20th

Laughlin Casino Hotels

Laughlin, Nevada is centrally located between the Los Angeles basin and Phoenix, Arizona, which puts it around 90 miles from Las Vegas. Like Las Vegas, Laughlin, Nevada is a gambling destination. Harrah’s Laughlin Casino and Hotel
This is a Mexican themed hotel and casino in Laughlin. It is the 2nd largest in Laughlin. It has a 47,000 square feet casino floor, live entertainment, a beach and more.

Pioneer Hotel & Gambling Hall
This casino hotel has 413 rooms and 30 suites. This old west themed casino hotel has a beach area, a 24 hour restaurant, other dining options and a casino floor.

River Palms Resort Casino
This Laughlin hotel has over 1,000 guest rooms and over 72,000 square feet of gaming space. Restaurants, a salon, live entertainment and a spa are some of the guest amenities.

Tropicana Express Hotel Casino
This hotel casino has an all adult tower. Other amenities at this Laughlin hotel include a VIP check-in area, a nightclub, live entertainment, free train rides and plenty of dining options.

According to the Port Columbus International Airport website, the Columbus, Ohio airport served almost 7 million airline passengers in 2008. The airport has 152 daily departures to 33 airports. Columbus sees a lot of tourists visiting Ohio State University and the Columbus Zoo. Travelers visiting the area that want to stay near the airport will find a few motels and hotel nearby. 2009 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Line-Up Announced!

Macy’s has announced the line-up for the 83rd annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This year marks a change in the parade route. For the first time ever the parade will bypass Broadway and travel down 6th and 7th Avenues toward Herald Square and the Macy’s on 34th Street.
